FACTS (Fairfield Action Council For Truth and Support) was proud to present
photographs, maps and the interesting backstory on our community’s forerunners
and developers. Gavin Hoff was our special guest at the event. Gavin ‘s father,
Richard Hoff carved some of our present canals on the Inner Harbour and later
built many of the original homes here in the early 1970’s.
The audience was treated to “Before and Now’ photographs
of familiar community facilities such as the former and present Clubhouses, the
Shoreline Gatehouse, Red Sail Park, and Birdland Marina. The story is a fascinating tale of more than fifty years of development dreams fulfilled.
After the presentation, the audience was invited to enjoy the assortment of confections and visit with the representatives of 25 participating clubs, committees and organizations for information and applications.
